Endowment Fund [EF] Build-up.

You may wish to donate to the St. Mary's School Endowment Fund. The goal is to raise 11 Million Philippine Pesos [approximately US$ 200,000 at an exchange rate of US$1 = 55 Philippine Pesos], to be invested  in relatively high yielding but safe money market instruments such as government securities, mutual funds, bonds and stocks. The interest earnings  will be used to help fund the general operations of St. Mary's School. If enough funds were raised and professionally managed, the endowment fund offers the best solution to the yearly funding shortfall of St. Mary's School.  The School's Year-2003 budget of 1.6 million Philippine Pesos reflects a deficit of 400,000 pesos. At an exchange rate of P55.00 to US$1.00, 400,000 Philippine pesos is equivalent to around US$7,300.00.

The St. Mary's Class of 1955 have initiated their own endowment Fund Drive and it is hoped other SMS class graduates will follow.
