SMSSI Chairman of the Board, Engineer Rufino Bomasang, with Galanay, the oldest
woman in Besao Proper, Mountian Province Philippines [almost 100 years old]. Engr. Bomasang is a globe trotter
in his capacity as President of the Philippine National Oil Exploration
Company, but always finds time to visit his Igorot roots. Old woman Galanay is a close
family friend of Engr. Bomasang's parents. She is also the grandmother of Dinah
Piluden-Omengan, a budding author who wrote the most acclaimed book "Death and
Beyond" - a book about Sagada's burial practices and beliefs.
